JOB OPPORTUNITY
MUSIC ACCOMPANIST

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (ELCA) is seeking a dedicated music accompanist to enhance our worship experience through music. This position plays a vital role in leading and supporting the congregation in worship, blending traditional Lutheran hymns with contemporary Christian music.

Provide musical accompaniment for weekly Sunday worship services, including hymns, liturgies, and special music.
Play for seasonal and special services, such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, and other liturgical events.
Collaborate with the pastor, choir director, and worship team to plan and prepare music for services.
Accompany and support the choir and other musical groups as needed.
Foster an atmosphere of spiritual connection and participation through music.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in piano with experience in worship settings preferred. Organ performance ability is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with ELCA Lutheran liturgical traditions and hymns preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively with the Pastor, musicians, and congregation members.
A heart for ministry and a passion for using music to enrich worship.
